Q1 2006 - Issue #5

MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

I hope you enjoy this edition of Good Call from Accudata Technologies.  The end of a great 2005 and the beginning of a new year seemed like a good time to publish this edition.

The year 2005 was a resounding success for Accudata, thanks to our wonderful clients and dedicated, clever, innovative employees.  In fact, it was a multi-award-winning year for us.

First, we were awarded 11th place out of 60 in the inaugural Comerica Collin 60 Awards, which recognizes businesses in Collin County, Texas across all market segments.  It was exciting to rank so high in the program’s first year. Collin County is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States.  We found ourselves in a group that included such diverse businesses as silicon chip manufacturers, network companies, homebuilders, mortgage companies, office supply houses, travel agencies and even restaurants.

Next, we were recognized for the second successive year in the Dallas 100. Like the Comerica Collin 60, this group is cross-industry. The SMU Cox School of Business sponsored this award.

We received our fourth award in three years from the Metroplex FastTech 50. This award is sponsored by the Metroplex Technology Business Council and Deloitte & Touche and focuses exclusively on technology companies. Being recognized in this event qualified us for entry in the Texas statewide selection. Also, we were recognized statewide in the Texas Crescent Fast 50.  This was the second year in a row for our selection. Representatives of Deloitte informed us that companies seldom receive this award two years in a row, let alone move up in the rankings like Accudata did.

Deloitte additionally sponsors a North America Fast 500 recognition program for tech companies in the United States and Canada. We were recognized here, too, coming in 441st.

In addition to all these awards and accolades, our revenue grew more than 20% YTY in 2005. Our monthly traffic volume increased by more than 450 percent last year, and our systems performed superbly.

On another note, in reference to our Bank Card/Credit Card processing, the credit card processing community instituted another good security measure last year.  It is commonly referred to as “PCI Compliance” or Payment Card Industry Data Security Compliance.  In this certification process, an outside organization carefully scrutinized and attempted to breach the security of all of our systems with multi-access points. We’re proud to say that we passed and received our certification very early in the inaugural year of this certification requirement.  We will recertify each quarter.

Needless to say, we were very excited about all this success and recognition.

So what does 2006 bring?  Well, one thing is our physical relocation.  After being in our current location for five years, we have outgrown our facility. We are staying in Allen, Texas, which is about 25 miles north of Dallas at the northern tip of the “Telecom Corridor.” Our new facility is a brand-new building only about one mile away.  We expect to be fully relocated by April 1, 2006. If you are in the neighborhood, please stop in and visit our new offices beginning in April. The new address will be 800 N. Watters Road, Allen, Texas.

In this edition of Good Call, Karen Stewart is in the Employee Spotlight. Karen is our database expert.  Read more about her here.

In the last issue, we profiled our new customer Call Universal.  “Call” continues to be one of our top ten revenue customers.  In this issue, we profile Network PTS.

In the “Problems and Solutions” column, we take a closer look at Calling Name from both delivery and storage perspectives.  We think you’ll find some of the industry issues related to CNAM interesting. And, there is something each of us can do about it.

Finally, I want to wish you a Happy New Year. Let’s make this one even better than the last.

Respectfully,
M. Gregory Smith
President and CEO
