EMPLOYEE
SPOTLIGHT
Monica Martino,
CTO
Each month, we will highlight
a different Accudata employee in Good Call. In our inaugural issue, we are pleased
to introduce you to CTO and co-founder, Monica Martino.
With more than 16 years
of telecommunications industry experience and a knack for solving complicated
telecom engineering problems, Monica is the ideal CTO for the company she co-founded
in 1989. She served as president and CEO until turning over the reigns to Greg
Smith in early 2002, so she could focus her attentions on expanding the capabilities
of the company’s technology. In 1998, Monica established her expertise by
applying her knowledge of SS7 technology and Line Information Database (LIDB)
storage to create services used for validation of telephone calls from many types
of facilities. Prior to founding Accudata Technologies, Monica served as founding
president of Easyfax Inc., where she acquired a design patent on a public fax
machine. While with Accudata, her experience also includes working with Intellicall,
Protel, Elecotel and Omniphone. She has served on the board of the Texas Payphone
Association, the Self-Sufficiency Committee of the City of Plano, and as a Squadron
Commander with the Civil Air Patrol
Monica is a co-author of
Accudata’s pending patents, and has other patents in progress. She likes
inventing, and she tends to putter in her “lab.” Watch for future
innovation from her office.
Some of Monica’s interests
outside of work include: home improvement, yoga, weight training, volleyball,
trips to Las Vegas, movies, cruises, and listening to audio books. Don’t
get her started talking about the Harry Potter series! Monica is single and lives
in Plano, Texas, just north of Dallas.
